These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Independent Authors' Library website and to purchases made through it. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
About the Independent Authors' Library
Independent Authors' Library provides a place for readers to discover and purchase books by independent authors. Books may be offered as downloadable eBooks, printed editions, or both.
Prices and Payment
Prices are shown on the website before you purchase. Payment must be successfully completed before an eBook is supplied or a paperback order is processed.
Payments are handled securely by our payment providers. We do not receive or store your full credit or debit card details.
eBooks and Digital Downloads
When you purchase an eBook, you are purchasing the right to download and read that book for your own personal use.
Unless the copyright holder has given permission, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, upload, publish or make the eBook available to other people.
If you experience a problem receiving or downloading an eBook, please contact us and we will try to resolve the problem.
Paperback Books
Paperback books sold through the Independent Authors' Library may be printed and fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand provider. This means a copy may be printed specifically to fulfil your order.
Delivery times shown or estimated during ordering are estimates and may be affected by printing schedules, postal services, customs or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address when placing an order.
Refunds and Problems with Orders
Refunds, damaged books, faulty downloads and other order problems are dealt with under our Refund Policy.
Earn by Sharing
People participating in our Earn by Sharing programme receive a personal link that can be used to introduce readers to books available through the Independent Authors' Library.
When an eBook sale is successfully completed through your personal link, you receive half of the eBook sale price.
There is no joining fee and nothing needs to be purchased in order to take part.
Payments are made only for genuine completed sales. Orders that are cancelled, refunded, reversed or found to be fraudulent do not create an entitlement to payment, and any amount already credited for such an order may be deducted from future amounts due.
Personal links must not be used for misleading advertising, spam, unlawful activity or any promotion that could reasonably damage the reputation of the Independent Authors' Library or its authors.
Copyright
Books, covers, written material, graphics and other content displayed on this website may be protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Content may not be reproduced, republished, distributed or used commercially without permission from the appropriate copyright holder, except where permitted by law.
Website Use
You may use this website for lawful purposes. You must not deliberately interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems, or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
Information on the Website
