Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with anything you purchase from the Independent Authors' Library. Because we sell both downloadable eBooks and print-on-demand paperbacks, the refund arrangements are different for each.

eBooks and Digital Downloads

Our eBooks are digital products supplied electronically. Once an eBook has been supplied or made available for download, we normally cannot accept a return simply because you have changed your mind.

If you are unable to download your purchase, receive the wrong file, or the file is faulty or unusable, please contact us. We will first try to provide a working copy and, where that is not possible, arrange an appropriate refund.

Paperback Books

Our paperback books are printed to order. If your book arrives damaged, defective or is not the book you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the problem.

We may ask for photographs of a damaged or defective book so that the problem can be investigated with our printing and fulfilment provider. Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Cancelling a Paperback Order

Because paperback books are printed to order, production may begin shortly after an order is placed. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

If production has not started, we will try to cancel the order. Once a book has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Delivery Problems

If your paperback has not arrived within a reasonable time, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery.

Please check that the delivery address supplied with your order is correct. We cannot guarantee replacement or refund where an order has been sent to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

Refunds

Where a refund is agreed, it will normally be returned to the original payment method. The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.

Your Legal Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
